About
A little about me
Howdy folks! I eat, drink, and sweat all things well-being and sustainability. I grew up in Montana, and I accompanied my father on occasional Forest Ranger (steward of the woods) work, so since before I could remember I’ve had a deep love and respect for the land and our wild spaces. The well-being of humans, other species, and our planet are inextricably linked, so naturally I find caring for and restoring self and planet to be everlasting parallel processes.
What I do and how I can help
In my role I mainly work on team operations, content/education design, and long term change culture projects. All with the underlying goal to make Stanford a place where flourishing (high levels of well-being) is a default experience, rather than something one has to desperately fight for and, once realized, doggedly protect.
What I’m up to outside of Stanford
My wife and I are Residents Fellows in Outdoor House (in Trancos), so we spend TONS of time outside, facilitating adventures and improving our community’s relationship to the natural world. I’m a new-ish father, and moderately overwhelmed at how I can love anything so much, but slowly learning balance from the wise parentals who’ve tread this path before me.
