About

A little about me

Hi! I work closely with the Graduate Life Office (GLO) and Well-Being teams to support graduate students. In addition to offering one-on-one well-being coaching sessions, I co-facilitate spaces like the Dissertation Support Group and BIO 315. I am also a guest lecturer for EDUC 193A and part of the Stanford Grief Gathering team.

Previously, I supported early-career high school teachers through Stanford’s Center to Support Excellence in Teaching (CSET). I started my career as a high school teacher in San José and later was a mentor for EdTech entrepreneurs at ImagineK12 (now part of Y Combinator). I have served on the board of Teatro Visión, a Latinx theater company rooted in community storytelling.

I grew up riding AC Transit and BART, where I developed a deep love for storytelling, connection, and creating spaces where people feel heard and supported.

What coaching with me could look like

I team up with grad students to create space for them to clarify and unlock pathways to their goals by tapping into their strengths, staying true to their values, honoring their identities, and putting their well-being first.

I show up as a non-judgmental accountability partner to guide you through an exercise to practice:

  • Designing wise expectations while confronting limiting beliefs, fears, and environmental constraints.
  • Prioritizing what's important to you over the urgent while disrupting procrastination and avoidance.
  • Designing healthy boundaries and engaging in communication practices to build, repair, and maintain relationships.
  • Navigating life transitions, uncertainty, setbacks (small and large), and grief.
  • Strategies for taking care of all the feels (including stress, overwhelm, disappointment, and anger).

I will always meet you where you are. All topics are welcome! Go ahead and sign up for a well-being coaching session, your future self will thank you.

What I’m up to outside of coaching

Daily resistance practices: nurturing intergenerational healing, opening doors, staying curious, cultivating joy, and prioritizing rest. Coffee first.
